The potential for greatness lives in each of us.”

The GREAT program is a 4 week community program. Beginning in the 5th grade, boys and girls meet at host sites for four weeks to learn core guiding principles on how to become leaders, mentors and role models.  Sessions are two hours each and are facilitated by trained, positive young adults.

Program highlights:

  • Parental involvement

  • Orientation session

  • Four weekly 2-hr sessions

  • Celebration week four

The GREAT Virtual Mentoring

Virtual Mentoring begins after a participant has completed the GREAT program. Mentees are assigned to a mentor for one year. The mentor's role is to help the mentee achieve his or her short-term and long-term goals, improve academically, and address any social concerns. Once the mentee turns 16, he becomes a peer mentor and helps recruit prospective mentors.
